I have recently reviewed my wedding services and introduced a range of new services. Customers now have the chance to book a service with or without a Bridal Album, this is responding to demand. Prices are now lower for the smaller wedding and the larger services have added value.

I am increasingly asked if I can supply images on a CD or DVD. There is no problem with this, as long as the customer understands the copyright law and the fact that I have to make a profit.

Like most professional photographers, I cover my costs and time in the price charged for the wedding package. My profits are made by selling prints to family and friends after the event. If I supplied you with a CD containing printable images, I may not receive so many orders and could not make a living.

This is a current issue with all professionals and the way around this is to offer a CD for viewing only which cannot be printed and to offer one with high quality images with permission to print. The latter has to be at a high cost to make up for the loss of income which will result by not receiving so many orders.

Please remember that professional prints are made on high-quality printers with a long fade life. Your printer at home connected to your PC will not be as good.
